PART I - LESSON PLANS

Structure is the order of the day as lesson plans describe different possible teaching strategies. Each lesson includes a brainstorming activity, a study of new sight words, a spelling activity, work in the activity book. work in the writing book and playing the match game.

PART II - STUDENT BOOKLETS

The first photocopyable booklet is the "Special Days Activity Book" which contains a short photograph about each topic and a variety of related, fun language activities. The second booklet "Special Days Writing Book" allows students the chance to do some writing of their own )either individually or as a class) and provides space for students to develop early writing skills and create a related picture.

PART III - PARENT PAGES

A collection of ten parent pages (also known as homework) that children take home to reinforce what the child learns each day. Each activity only takes about 5 to 10 minutes to complete. Skills include syllables, silent letters, ABC order, phonics activities, and fill-in-the-blanks comprehension questions and more.
